Siamese Dream is the second studio album by alternative rock band Smashing Pumpkins, following their debut album Gish. Siamese Dream sold over six million copies worldwide. The album released four hit singles - Cherub Rock, Today, Disarm, and Rocket.
The album boasts some high production values and ornate arrangements compared to other early-1990s alternative albums. Smashing Pumpkins were seen as "the next Nirvana" following this album. Though lyrics on this album varied in style and meaning, lead singer Billy Corgan noted that most of his lyrics were about his girlfriend and future wife Chris Fabian. On the other hand, Spaceboy was written as a tribute to his half-brother Jesse.
